Facilating Session 6 on Elluminate -

Tonight's Elluminate session went well as all participants were eager to contribute meaningful insights. After a long semester of struggling to manage time, keeping organized and staying motivated, it was agreed that most particpants prefer to meet face to face still rather than purely online.

We felt that the communication tools were excellent resources for meeting the needs of all learning styles. It was mentioned in one breakout session that we feel more confident in using technologies such as Elluminate, blogging, Wikis etc.. because we've had weekly practice on them rather than one introduction and no other experience. This is important in building a true online community.

The facilitators throughout the course helped us to stay organized with structured pre-reading assignments, clear directions and helpful reminders via email.

The planning of this session was thoroughly exhausting and invaded my household for a week straight. I'm physically and mentally drained but very pleased to have had such a great experience both planning for and leading the discussion. If it wasn't for my amazing teammate I might not be here right now with a relaxed smile on my face...
